A Girly Sunday

Right, I admit that this post is well overdue, it was supposed to go up way before Easter, but my mocks have been insane this month so I do have an acceptable excuse (sorry!). But now that I have finally found some free time I've decided to write a short post containing the photo evidence of what I was up to on Sunday a couple of weeks back. Me and my friend Xenia had lots of fun watching films, cooking, taking pictures and just chattering about random things, which in my opinion is a perfect way to spend a day (not even mentioning the same outfits which is a genuine coincidence!) <3

Hope you like the pictures!                                                                         - Stacey x

Liebster Award

Bonjour lovelies!
Well, I'm sure you've already guessed what this post is going to be about, yes, I've been nominated for the Liebster Award (for the first time!) and I'm SO excited about it! I'd like to thank Brooke-Wrote and Laze Sundaze for nominating me, really honoured!

In case you don't know what Liebster Award is, it's an award that helps recognise new bloggers with under 200 followers that totally deserve more reads, which in my opinion is a great thing to do. Here are the rules:

-Thank the person who has nominated you (don't forget to link him/her in your post!)
-Answer the 11 questions he/she has given you
-Nominate 11 small blogs with less than 200 followers and post links to their blogs
-Come up with 11 new questions for them to answer
-Notify them that they've been nominated by leaving a comment on their blog

Now the fact that I was nominated twice means I've got 22 questions to answer, but unfortunately I haven't got that much time so I'm just going to pick the 11 questions I think are the most interesting. Okay, I've explained the rules I think I should answer the questions, here we go

1. What should you be doing right now, but you're not?

Studying, preparing for my exams which I'm passing in May (ughhh so scared!)

2. What is one place you'd like to visit before you die?

There are quite a few of them actually (I mean who hasn't got a bucket
list of places they want to visit?) but number one for me is hands down Paris, it just screams 'inspiration' to me!

3. Why did you start a blog?

Because I feel like having your own blog, your personal Internet space is immensely interesting and cool. You get to share your thoughts, pictures, opinions that may be an inspiration (or sometimes even help) to someone else. Another reason why I created mine is because I absolutely adore writing and let's be honest, the fact that you've got a blog (which is sort of a diary, duh) makes you go and flipping do such amazing things as, for example, travelling, and isn't it great to look back at it in a couple of years and read through the things you've experienced??

4. What is your ideal Friday night like?

At the moment Friday for me is the day I'm looking forward to all week, and not because it's the start of the weekend, but because every Friday I'm having special dance lessons with my classmates. We're going to dance waltz (yes, actual waltz!) at the graduation prom which is BEYOND exciting and every lesson we all have so much fun together, I thoroughly enjoy and treasure every second spent with my adorable classmates (already missing them aw).
And after the lesson I just tend to chill, watch a bit of telly, maybe a BBC tv show if I feel like getting emotional over fictional characters (I mean, if you have watched any tv show created by the BBC you'll surely know what I'm talking about) or do a bit of yoga, which is another thing that I love a lot at the moment.

5. Chocolate or Vanilla?

Definitely chocolate, chocolate is life, best thing in the whole entire Universe (nope, I'm not exaggerating)

6. What is your favourite book?

Again, I can't pick just one. The first one would be 'Three men in a boat (to say nothing of the dog)' by Jerome K. Jerome, which I am completely in love with, it's so old school and hilarious! Absolute favourite!
The second one is 'Not Another Happy Ending' by David Solomons, Scottish writer, and it's one of those rom-com books you'd like to have on your bedside table to just have a read when you feel like the day didn't go exactly according to the plan. The summary of it goes as follows 'A romantic story about love, sponge cake and the trouble with happy endings' and isn't it lovely? There's also a movie based on the book starring my favourite actress (who is also the famous Amy Pond in the well-known British series Doctor Who) Karen Gillan.
And to finish off I'd like to mention the almighty Shakespeare, whose masterpieces will always be my favourite. I particularly enjoyed reading 'Hamlet', and excuse me, stories like this will live forever, let alone the language he used! Don't think there'll ever be people like him, he's such a genius.

7. Favourite trend right now?

I'd like to relate this question to fashion and in terms of like 2015 trends I can really feel the 70s vibe going on - lots of bold flower prints, fringe, lace, denim, gladiator sandals, it's so so peculiar and needless to say how much I love it.

8. If you were stranded on a remote island and you could only have three things with you. What would they be?

A hat (because I don't want my brain to turn into a bloomin' boiled potato on that island okay?!), my friend Megan (who I can have great chats with and who's also going to cook nuggets on a campfire) and a hat for Megan (mainly because she is a massive hat obsessor)

9.  What do you want to be when you grow up?

This is still an open question for me, but I know for sure that I'm going to connect my future profession with languages (English and German in particular) and such profession as a linguist does sound good to me. I would also love to learn French, because in my opinion this is the most beautiful, gorgeous language.

10. What is your all time favourite movie?

I feel like I'm rambling so much in this post so I'm just going to list some of my favourites (obviously because I simply cannot pick one) : Disney's 'Tangled' and pretty much everything by Disney, 'The Devil Wears Prada', 'Bride Wars', 'The Hobbit' trilogy and of course 'The Lord of the Rings', 'The Green Mile', 'Twin Sitters'. This is really hard to think of the favourite ones, so I'll leave it there for now!

11. Best blogging tip?

Even though I'm not a professional blogger and I haven't done this for long enough to give an advice, there is one tip that in my opinion matters the most and it is writing from your heart. Never hide your true self under the online curtain, just be who you are, write about the things you love and enjoy, that's the whole purpose of blogging I think!

Okay then, here are the wonderful people who I nominate:

Madeline
Victoria
Bethany
Laura
Charlotte

Mareike

And here are your questions:

1. What is your favourite season and why?

3. What is your favourite app?
4. Would you rather wear flowers on your head or diamonds around your neck?
